Edale and Kinder Walk

Images taken on a walk from Edale in the Peak District across Kinder and Crowden Brook. Stunning views at an altitude of 1650ft & home of the mass trespass of 1932. From the Plateau the Great Ridge, Lose hill and the pimple of Win Hill and be seen in the distance.

Chrome Hill Walk

Pictures taken on a  8 mile walk in the Dark Peak, taking in Chrome Hill or The Dragons Back and the lower Parkhouse Hill. Over 350 millions years ago both where coral reefs under the sea.

Images taken on a walk across Curbar Edge, a popular place for photography as there are stunning views across Derbyshire and beyond.

Mam Tor

I've visited Mam Tor several times in the morning most without success, checking the forecast and setting the alarm for 4.45am I planned another trip. Parking at the bottom of the Tor path Its a tricky climb in the dark to the summit, especially when you've left the head torch at home. Upon reaching the peak and then descending down towards Loose hill the weather again looked a non starter. I've learnt not to give up hope so I set up around  a spot I'd seen on a previous visit and waited.

Sunrise came and the view was spoilt by heavy cloud cover, however I could see a break and decided to give it 10 more minutes. Luckily the sun broke through and although not as incredible as it can be I was fairly pleased with the photographs.

Lumsdale Falls

A series of images taken at Lumsdale falls near Matlock.

There are endless photographic possibilities at the Arkwright Heritage Society waterfalls. Previously used to power the water mills they sweep down the hillside into Tansley. Always a useful location whatever the weather.

The Lakes

A mini portfolio of images taken in the beautiful Lake District, mainly around Ullswater and Derwent water. Its always difficult when visiting a new place for a short time and not allowing the photography to take over the holiday!. Hopefully it wont be the last time I visit this stunning place.
