I initially came across the scene in late autumn while working on a different view in the woodland below this point. The conditions were not quite right at the time, however I made a sketchbook image for a future visit. I knew or rather hoped that with the summer greens and a covering of bracken this area would look wonderful with a much more varied collection of textures. The valley drops off quite sharply, so working out the best composition took a little while. I wanted to include the wonderful bark of the Oaks. The fog played its part creating the atmosphere I had hoped for and softening the view perfectly

This release is a limited edition print of 50 and is supplied at A3 size with a white border
